My animation The Mothers will screen as part of Anonymous Gallery’s 7 Gardens exhibition. Taking place across multiple community gardens in the East Village, 7 Gardens is a journey connecting local public space to the practices of established and emerging artists working to represent ideas of nature and community engagement. My animated short film, The Mothers, was screened at FluxFactory’s Creekworthy via a floating projection screen on Newtown Creek on June 10th.

I spent a week this March in residence at the Guggenheim’s Peter B. Lewis Theater developing a Works & Process commission with collaborators Adrian Danchig-Waring, Joseph Gordon, Kristin Sztyk, and Norbert De La Cruz III. The piece premieres in October!

I was commissioned to make a series of paintings for permanent exhibition aboard Resolution, a National Geographic and Lindblad Expedition Arctic passenger ship.  The show, curated by Zaria Forman, features eleven female artists whose work tackles themes of climate change and the polar regions. Stay tuned for the launch!

Kristin Sztyk created a short video about our commission for Guggenheim Works & Process! Collaborators Adrian Danchig-Waring, Joe Gordon, Kristin Sztyk, Norbert De La Cruz III, and I spent the month of March in residence at Kaatsbaan Cultural Park and at Bridge Street Theater developing the piece, which will premiere at the Guggenheim theater in October 2022.

The Gender Line by Joe Rubenstein, a documentary about my Outlaws Portrait Project, is an official selection of the Williamsburg Independent Film Festival and premiered on Thursday November 17 at The Wythe Hotel in Brooklyn NY.

 

I donated a painting to the Children Museum of Art’s Annual Art Auction on November 9th. More information on their website.

 

I was interviewed about my Outlaws Portraits by Anne Hoffman for BBC Radio’s The Cultural Frontline on September 3rd. I'm at minute 9.
